Opening Hours

AQWA is open daily from 9am-4pm. We're open every day of the year including public holidays, except Christmas Day (25 December).

Getting Here

Located 30 minutes from Perth CBD at Hillarys Boat Harbour: 91 Southside Drive, Hillarys 6025 WA.

Parking

Free parking is available throughout Hillarys Boat Harbour. Parking is limited and at a premium in school holidays. Plan ahead and give yourself plenty of time to find a bay.

Access

AQWA's entrance & exit has ramp access. Our Shipwreck Coast aquarium (the underwater tunnel) can be accessed via lift. The Marina Bay amphitheatre and aquarium can only be accessed with staff assistance via an access gate - our team will be happy to assist, just let our Reception staff know. If needed, complimentary wheelchairs are available at Reception.

Accessible Facilities

Unisex accessible toilets are located outside, near the Touch Pool. An accessible cubicle is also located within the ablution blocks, near Reception.

Prams & Wagons

Prams: while prams are welcome, we recommend using a baby carrier where possible through the aquarium - this gives your little one the best view of all the action. A dedicated pram parking area adjacent to Reception allows for drop-off at the start of your journey and pick-up just prior to exiting. Wagons: For the safety and enjoyment of all visitors, large pull along wagons/carts are not permitted in the aquarium exhibit areas and must be left in the pram parking area (medical equipment exempt). Should your child/ren need it, a number of complimentary, compact strollers are available for use from Reception.

First Aid & Water Stations

A defibrillator is located at AQWA Cafe; a first-aid room is located near Reception. Free drinking water fountains are located outside near the Turtle Rescue Pool and inside at the Cafe.

Talks & Interactions

AQWA Ocean Guides are on-site every day sharing their passion and knowledge! Drop by one of our guided talks, feeds or interactions, included free with entry.

What's On

Keep an eye out for our free school holiday activities and bonus special events. From swimming mermaids and pirate ship adventures, to toddler play days and adults-only evenings!

Booked Experiences

AQWA offers exciting additional experiences that are fully guided, like the Glass Bottom Boat, Behind The Scenes Pass or Swim with Sharks!

Cafe

The AQWA Café is open daily and is a fully licensed venue. Dine inside or enjoy the ocean view from two outdoor dining areas.

Giftshop

Visit the AQWA Shop and choose from a range of interactive kid’s toys, plushies, books and homewares. From mermaid tails to turtle backpacks and souvenirs, there is a gift for everyone!

Ocean Playroom

Get creative with AQWA’s brand new interactive activities, from artwork projections to an interactive sandbox. Suited to children aged 2+ years

Ocean Image Hub

Take a snap and watch as it is transformed into a personalised aquatic artwork - the ultimate souvenir! Digital and printed options available for purchase. Open Wednesday to Sunday.
